CNET News has a photo gallery from NextFest, an opportunity for companies to showcase their futuristic wares (unfortunately, still no hover car).
One of the products on display at the event was a polymer suit touted as "flexible to wear but strong enough to withstand a beating." CNET reported that "the wearer in this Spider-Man-style suit could...take a blow from a shovel to the stomach without feeling the pain."
Unfortunately, the product tester later died from taking a blow from a shovel to the head. Product designers had this to say after the accident: "Oh right, we're still developing the polymer hood attachment."
